Bob Powell  CEO & President    Mr. Powell has over 28 years of industry experience, he is passionate about finding and implementing solutions to profound waste problems that have energy application. He believes that we can tackle our global environmental issues with economic solutions that have a positive environmental impact. He has customer and technology experience in waste, renewables, clean generation technologies, as well as efficiency measures. His experiences include being the CEO of a solar developer, an innovator in financing energy projects, the CFO of a large utility, the North America President of the largest worldwide renewable company and a Partner at Andersen and PWC’s energy practices.

Zeina Al-Azzi  Chief Development Officer    Ms. El-Azzi is a self-professed energy nerd doing everything she can to change the way the world thinks about energy. She is a co-founder of Brightmark Energy and leads the Company’s efforts in development, origination and acquisitions of waste and energy projects. Ms. El-Azzi has over eighteen years of renewable and alternative energy experience. She has successfully brought solar, wind and other waste and energy projects to fruition in the US and Canada as well as across the globe.

Ms. El-Azzi is a self-professed energy nerd doing everything she can to change the way the world thinks about energy. She is a co-founder of Brightmark Energy and leads the Company’s efforts in development, origination and acquisitions of waste and energy projects. Ms. El-Azzi has over eighteen years of renewable and alternative energy experience. She has successfully brought solar, wind and other waste and energy projects to fruition in the US and Canada as well as across the globe.

Scott Healy  Chief Financial Officer    Mr. Healy is a seasoned closer, who over a 25-year career as an energy executive developed, acquired, financed or sold over $10 billion of operating, clean energy projects in ten different countries and four continents. During his energy career, Mr. Healy has held key finance, business development and sales leadership roles in some of the largest and most successful U.S., clean energy companies. Prior to working in the energy industry, he worked 10 years in the investment banking and public accounting industries, where he was a licensed Securities Principal and Certified Public Accountant.

Mr. Healy is a seasoned closer, who over a 25-year career as an energy executive developed, acquired, financed or sold over $10 billion of operating, clean energy projects in ten different countries and four continents. During his energy career, Mr. Healy has held key finance, business development and sales leadership roles in some of the largest and most successful U.S., clean energy companies. Andrew Nekus  Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer    Mr. Nekus has over 30 years of industry experience, including fifteen years serving in senior management roles for alternative energy EPC & development businesses. He thrives on finding value in existing business operations, and applying those lessons learned to new renewable energy systems. Prior to joining BME, Mr. Nekus led the design and construction of major clean generation projects across the US, managed a large portfolio of CHP and renewable generation projects, and restructured several distressed energy projects on behalf of lender groups. Mr. Nekus has a passion for implementing leading energy technologies that deliver a positive global impact. Currently his focus is on waste plastics to fuel, and bio-waste to RNG projects.

Sujay Parikh  Senior Vice President & General Counsel    Mr. Parikh is an experienced lawyer who has counseled clients and companies in all aspects of energy and infrastructure M&A, development, finance and operations over a 20-year legal career. After a long stint as a senior lawyer at a nationally recognized law firm in its global project and energy finance group, Mr. Parikh spent the last several years at a large multinational renewable energy developer and asset owner working on corporate finance, project finance and project development of renewable energy projects in all shapes and sizes, including large scale utility projects, distributed generation projects and residential systems in solar, wind, geothermal and other renewable technologies. Since joining Brightmark Energy, Mr. Parikh has worked extensively to develop and finance commercial scale organic and plastics waste to energy projects, including first of its kind feedstock, site control and financing arrangements. Mr. Parikh is excited about working on these next generation of projects that will unlock the full potential of renewable energy.

He received a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, both from Iowa State University.
