The Plant Manager will oversee a 24/7 refinery type process that will recycle scrap polymer into diesel, naptha and high-grade wax products. The Plant Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the operation including, safety, environmental compliance, product conformance, production, maintenance, employee relation and all site support functions.

RES Polyflow has developed technology, which when coupled with standard refinery type processes can recycle scrap polymer into Diesel, naptha, and high-grade wax products. Brightmark Energy is providing the equity to construct this plant with the desire to expand with additional projects globally. This is an advanced technology greenfield facility located in Ashley, Indiana area called the BME Renewable Polyfuels – Ashley Indiana Plant. In addition to new technology integration, we will be focused on developing a workforce that gives us a competitive advantage. All achieved in a high performance; fast-paced environment.

The position reports to the President of BME Renewable Polyfuels and is in Ashley, Indiana.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Executes BME Renewable Polyfuels core values and vision.

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures and standards as it relates to production, quality, process engineering, distribution, and scheduling to meet customer requirements and business plan goals.

  • Participates in construction and start-up responsibilities.

  • Oversee the recruitment and training of a high-quality and diverse workforce.

  • Accountable for ensuring reliable and cost-effective operations.

  • Prepare, manage and execute capital expenditure and operating budgets.

  • Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes.

  • Provide effective leadership for all plant activities to drive continuous improvement site-wide.

  • Responsible for compliance to all federal, state, corporate Safety, Environmental and Quality standards and leading industry practices.

  • Responsible for assuring all company policies, rules and guidelines are being followed and administered in a fair and consistent manner.

Technical Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering required.

  • Ten (10) to Fifteen (15) years of experience in refinery plant operations or equivalent.

  • Knowledge/experience with 5-S, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles in a continuous flow environment.

  • Must pass drug test and background check.

  • Strong working knowledge of Process Safety Management and Continuous Improvement methods in a refinery environment.


Experience:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in management principles involved in strategic planning, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

  • Experienced in developing high performance work teams through coaching/mentoring, training, performance management and career development.

  • Demonstrated success in managing a non-union environment.

  • Demonstrated leadership and support for a behavior-based culture.

  • Develop and implement annual business plans in alignment with plant and corporate objectives.

  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.

  • Proven experience with project management using best practices to implement and sustain solutions.

  • Experienced in accounting principles and development of operating budgets.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of predictive maintenance practices and procedures.
